After reading the chapter, answer the following questions:
1. Why did people buy into Gandhi's vision for nonviolent protest? How had he established himself as a leader?
2. How do you think the people would have reacted to Gandhi's suggestion of nonviolent protest if he had not already established himself as a leader?
3. Whose vision have you bought into? Why?
4. Who in your profession or area of service seems to have the ability to rally people around their vision?

Answer the following questions and discuss your answers when you meet with your mentoring group.
1. How do leaders and followers differ when it comes to supporting a vision?
2. Under what circumstances would a follower look for another leader?
3. Why might you stay with a leader whose vision began to depart from what it was when you began following him or her?
4. Do you agree with the author that, "The leader finds the dream and then the people. The people find the leader and then the dream?' Explain.
5. Have you ever cast vision and not had people buy into it and follow? How might your leadership have affected the response you received? Explain.
6. Up to now, did you approach leadership with the understanding that people must first buy into you before they will buy into your vision? Give an example of your previous leadership approach to casting vision and rallying followers.
7. What will you do to increase the potential Buy-In for your vision?
