The “Daddy Of ‘Em All”, Cheyenne Frontier Days, received a nomination for Fair/Rodeo of the Year. This legacy celebration features the Frontier Nights concert series, bringing together the best of country music and Western lifestyle for ten days of non-stop entertainment. Approximately 550,000 people attend the celebration yearly, with 272,896 tickets for all events sold in 2021.
To give perspective on this accomplishment, selling 272,896 tickets is almost double the total capacity of CMA Festival, Bonnaroo, and Pilgrimage Festival, which have a combined capacity of 197,000. To provide some context, the 2022 CMA Festival in Nashville drew an estimated 80,000 attendees, while Bonnaroo can hold up to 90,000 people, and Pilgrimage Festival has a capacity of 27,000.
This year's lineup includes country heavy hitters Tim McGraw and Eric Church and rising stars Carly Pearce and Zach Bryan, with the latter's show sold out in 2 hours. Previous performers include Brooks & Dunn, George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, and Garth Brooks, whose 2021 show sold out in 45 minutes.
"I am overjoyed that both my daughter {Michelle} and Cheyenne Frontier Days have been nominated for the 2023 Academy of Country Music Awards. It is a true honor to see the legacy of my father, Don Romeo, and our company, REG - Romeo Entertainment Group, being recognized in such a prestigious manner. This accolade is a testament to the unwavering hard work and dedication that we have invested in the industry for decades."
